What is the RAD Syllabus and who is it for?The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) sets global standards for exams in classical ballet. (Discover more about the RAD here.) Under the RAD Syllabi, students are exposed to a progressive framework for learning, and through classical syllabus work, are able to advance their classical ballet technique, performance ability and confidence. The RAD progression is a comprehensive and well-paced structure for young dancers who may be seeking to learn ballet recreationally, or to form a strong foundation in ballet in order to confidently explore other dance genres or to pursue ballet more seriously in the future. Formal RAD Certification is given to students who sit for annual Graded examinations from RAD Primary to the Advanced 2 Vocational Level. Our Head of Dance Programme and Co-Founder Ms Ginny Gan, works closely with our RAD-Certified Teachers to deliver top quality dance education through the RAD Syllabus. It is a priority of the school to ensure that young dancers who step into our studios are given a nurturing and rigorous learning experience for the best classical ballet foundation/progression.
