Claudia Cheong
Junior Ballet Instructor
Claudia Cheong’s dance journey started at a young age and she has explored various dance styles throughout her life. Starting with ballet at the age of 5, she then became involved in Chinese dance during her primary school years. In secondary school, she ventured into modern dance. At 16, she continued her ballet training with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) at the Elementary Vocational level.
In the late 1990s, she had the privilege of being trained under Mr. Kuik Swee Boon at the Singapore Dance Theatre (SDT) Adult Dance Class programme. To further her dance education, Claudia enrolled in a Diploma in Dance programme at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) School of Dance, which provided her with structured and comprehensive training in dance. Additionally, she had a great opportunity to attend ballet training sessions at the Jean M Wong School of Ballet in Hong Kong.
Claudia’s love for ballet and children led to her involvement in helping and assisting at our school’s very first annual end-of-year showcase. She had recently passed and obtained her RAD Intermediate certification, and will be pursuing the RAD Certificate in Dance Teaching (Ballet) in 2024.
