Meet Pei Nee
Trained under veteran ballet mentors Mr. Zhou Guixin and Ms. Ellie Lai, Lee danced professionally with Singapore Ballet from 2004 to 2010. During her time with the company, she has danced in a range of styles covering Classical, Neo-classical and Contemporary, performing works by reputable choreographers such as Goh Choo San, Graham Lustig’s Cinderella, Stanton Welch’s Madame Butterfly, Marius Petipa’s Raymonda, George Balanchine’s Concerto Barocco and Serenade, August Bournoville’s La Sylphide, Jean-Paul Comelin’s Giselle and Sleeping Beauty, Ohad Naharin’s Tabula Rasa, Thierry Malandain’s Bolero, Marie-Claude Pietragalla’s Les Noces, Jorma Elo’s Glow-Stop, Boi Sakti’s Reminiscing the Moon.
An Associate of the Royal Academy of Dance (ARAD), Lee holds a Teaching Certificate with Distinction (RTS) and is a certified trainer for Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT). She has also obtained Distinctions in all her RAD level examinations right up to Advanced 2. She has taught in the Junior Dance Department of the School of Young Talent (SYT) at NAFA, The Ballet School and Singapore Ballet Academy. With almost two decades of teaching experience, Lee brings with her a wealth of pedagogical knowledge and artistic acuity to the school. Her students have consistently achieved outstanding results from Grade 1 to Advanced 2 of the RAD examinations, and since 2017, she has successfully coached many students to achieve outstanding results in local and international competitions.
Passionate about teaching, she aims to inspire and motivate the younger generation to love the art form, and to nurture each individual to achieve their best. She believes that teachers are those who create an atmosphere that stimulates the students’ minds, bodies, and souls to help them achieve what they aspire to be.
